My story:

I have a diverse educational background and a variety of related skills and interests. When I graduated from design school, I moved to Toronto for a few years, where I worked at an upscale Interior design firm. The experience led me to become one of the top interior designers and furniture designers they had working for them.

As a professional interior designer, I formed friendships with several real estate agents that needed me to redesign the interior of their clients’ properties. Sometimes these interior design projects would become occasional staging tasks, where I had to make the interior look presentable for buyers and investors. My work helped generate more sales for my realtor friends. I was proud to have been part of these deals.

The more I assisted my realtor associates with these design projects, the more I became attracted to the dynamic world of the real estate industry. It eventually got to the point where I wanted to join the industry by becoming a real estate agent myself. In 2015, that is what I did precisely. I resigned from my position at the design firm in Toronto, returned home to Vancouver and became a realtor full-time.

Ever since then, I have never looked back. The experience of being a real estate agent has been fantastic. I’ve met so many people that I would have never met before. These are people from all parts of the industry, including residential buyers, sellers, builders, and investors. With my background in interior design, it is easy to assist my clients in staging their properties perfectly so that buyers will be impressed with them. I have an eye for aesthetics and understand what sells.

Education has been a big reason for my success in all of these different industries. Initially, I pursued my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology because I was interested in a Law & Order career. Soon after I graduated with my degree in Criminology, I decided that my interests and skills were more geared toward design, housing, real estate, and business.

For this reason, I took courses to earn my accredited Diploma in Interior Design. It gave me the training and credentials I needed to make a career out of this work. And even though I switched careers to focus more on real estate, I still use my interior design skills to this day.

In fact, my wavering passion for design, building, and construction led me to take additional construction and technology courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. With these newfound skills, I have been very successful in helping my clients buy and sell their homes and properties.

Of course, an excellent real estate agent has to be a good negotiator. To improve my negotiation skills, I enrolled in the online Negotiation Mastery course at Harvard Business School. Upon graduation, I officially became Harvard Negotiation Mastery Certified. There is no bigger credential that anyone could receive to prove their skills as a master negotiator.

Other Interesting Facts About me:

I am fluent in Farsi and, of course, English. My bilingual skills come in handy because of all the Persian investors I do business with regularly.

I have a strong Type A Personality. That means I have a competitive and ambitious behavior about me. This personality helps me tremendously in the business world.
